Glen Allen Community Center strives to create a sense of community for our members while offering opportunities to give back to our greater community. We offer hands-on volunteer activities for families, item donation drives, and monetary donations to local non-profit organizations. Below are our previous and upcoming opportunities. - Make-A-Wish Greater Virginia – Donations raised to help grant wishes of children battling cancer during monthly BUNCO events
- Safe Harbor – Item donation drives for local women’s shelters at Bingo, Milk & Cookies with Santa, and March Madness
- Caring Closet – *NEW* Partnership this summer- Donate clothing to directly help families in need in our community!
- Ronald McDonald House- Supports your local Ronald McDonald House by saving your Pop Top tabs to make an impact in providing temporary housing and support services for families of pediatric patients.
- Blood drives to help save lives
- Holiday Giving Project – Holiday shop for 6 children in Henrico foster care to fulfill all items on their wishlist
- GACC Lending Library – Little library located on the pool deck to share books and magazines (purchased with funds raised at BUNCO)

CLOTHING DRIVE– Do you have kids who need to clean out their messy closets and drawers? Do you drive around with a bag of donations in your trunk for months?
GACC has the solution for you! We have a new partnership this summer to directly help families in need in our community. We will be collecting clothing donations for Caring Closet!
Bring your clothing donations (used in good condition) to the pool with you and drop off at our front gate. That’s it – less clutter and helping others!
We love our GACC Community and thank you for all of your help and support to give back and help those in need!
